Château Meilhan – Médoc – 2023 – 13,5%
Château Meilhan – Médoc – French red wine – 2023 – 13.5%
Environmentally certified HVE level 3 (Haute Valeur Environnementale)
Château Meilhan is a true Médoc from Bordeaux's Left Bank, made from equal parts Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is vinified and bottled by Guy Bailly, who owns Château le Bourdieu near the village of Valeyrac in northern Médoc – a château built in 1830.
The vineyards have achieved the highest level in the French HVE environmental certification, and in the glass the wine delivers exactly the structure and balance you associate with Médoc – just at a fraction of the price of the big châteaux.
If you're in the mood for a classic Bordeaux for weekday drinking or the weekend, Château Meilhan is an obvious and reliable choice.
