Esporão was founded in 1985 on the historic estate Herdade do Esporão in Alentejo, whose history dates back to 1267. Today, the estate is a benchmark for quality in Portugal and a pioneer in organic viticulture.

Reserva Tinto is the estate’s flagship: a blend of Portuguese grapes and Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in both French and American oak. The wine is concentrated yet harmonious, and one of the wines that helped make Portuguese red wine popular.

It has good ageing potential, but is already a pleasure to drink now.

Grape composition: Trincadeira, Aragonês, Alicante Bouschet and Cabernet Sauvignon

Taste: The aroma is intense and complex, with ripe red fruit, cherries and strawberries, plus a layer of spice. The palate is full-bodied with black and red fruit, fine tannins and a solid structure. Oak notes add creaminess and elegance to the long finish.

Color: Deep ruby red

Food pairing: Grilled beef, lamb, stews and aged cheeses.

Storage: Ready to drink now and can be cellared for 6–8 years.

Serving: Best served at 16–18 degrees
