Gavi in Piedmont is one of Italy’s trendiest white wine regions, and the Cortese grape is king. The Bergaglio family makes only two wines from just under 18 hectares, and the Minaia vineyard on the hill just behind the family cellar is one of the best in the entire appellation.
The wine ferments exclusively in stainless steel tanks and rests in bottle before release. Father and son Bergaglio spend most of their time in the vineyard and let the wines speak for themselves.
An elegant white wine for a great meal – or as an aperitif.
