Minaia Gavi del Comune di Gavi – Nicola Bergaglio – Italian white wine – 2025 – 12.5%
Awarded Tre Bicchieri in Gambero Rosso (2021 edition)
Awarded 94 points by Jancis Robinson (2021)
Gavi in Piedmont is one of Italy’s trendiest white wine regions, and the Cortese grape is king. The Bergaglio family makes only two wines from just under 18 hectares, and the Minaia vineyard on the hill just behind the family cellar is one of the best in the entire appellation.
The wine ferments exclusively in stainless steel tanks and rests in bottle before release. Father and son Bergaglio spend most of their time in the vineyard and let the wines speak for themselves.
An elegant white wine for a great meal – or as an aperitif.
Grape composition: 100% Cortese
Tasting notes: Aromas of white peach and acacia with soft honeyed richness and a cool mineral streak. The palate is crisp and dry with ripe pears and a complex layer of red and green apples. Refreshing with a long finish.
Color: Pale straw yellow with greenish hues
Food pairing: Fish, shellfish, risotto and light pasta dishes.
Storage: Ready to drink now and can be cellared for 2-3 years.
Serving: Best served at 8-10 degrees
Allergens: Contains sulfites
Fixed text (the Text/HTML element): Order before 2 pm and we ship the same day. Free delivery over DKK 500.
